Any advice on Centaur bow quest?

Hi all,

Anyone who has been in South Badlands hunting centaurs the last 2 weeks has probably heard from Klinselth asking if they were hunting for the weapon's cache or manes. I have been hunting for manes to build up my faction with Helleron of he Plains. I was doing this in hopes of getting a quest to hunt down Ulidrak the Insane (read this on the old wiki I believe).

I have collected enough manes to finally get ally status (not posting the number for those of you who hate spoilers), even handed in an extra 4 just for good measure.

Th problem is I still get the same line from Helleron when I hail him.
Helleron of the Plains says, 'Hrrm. Please do not disturb us, Halfling. We have had enough of strangers lately.'

Though I'm happy to be on such good terms with the centaur community, I was really hoping to get a quest out of this. I spent many hours hunting these corrupt cents which don't respawn very quickly, so I'm a bit frustrated. The reason I'm so hell bent on getting this quest is that I've already run into Ulidrak and got his mane about a week ago in SBadlands (haven't seen him since, so I'm thinking he's a rather rare spwan).

Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. Even an admin telling me the quest no longer works (or never did and I was misinformed) wouldn't make me happy, but would give me some closure and allow me to move on.

Please please please, anyone who has knowledge of this quest, let me know....well....anything you can.

I followed the quest dialog after turning the sashes in to him. Try saying, "What son?" to him instead of just hailing him. He might have a generic hail response like some NPCs do. If that doesn't work I don't know what to do. It's possible that you might need to have max ally faction with the centaurs. I know you said you are at ally, but I don't know if it's maxxd out or not. If not, keep on giving him manes until your faction can't get any better then try asking him about his son.

I had done the first part of this quest months ago and wasn't recording my logs at the time so I asked someone who just completed the quest if Helleron's son or the name Ulidrak was mentioned after handing in the bandit headbands and hailing him again. I was told he mentions corrupt centaurs but no son. So I figured I read that somewhere in the Wiki back in the day.

Anyway, saying what son worked like a charm.
