I want to start off by saying, I have read all the stickies and spent all weekend searching and reading the forum to no avail.
Secondly, I am attempting to the run the game through Crossover(egad!) on a (wait for it...) Mac.
The details. I was playing the game fine just 8 months ago, I even have a 65 toon. I had to remove the game to free up some space on my laptop, and when I went to reinstall it I ran into this problem.
I am using EQ Titanium.
The game installs fine.
I can use the patcher fine, and start the game.
I can log in and see the server.
The server seems to load? It goes through the loading process with the SOD background images.
At this point the Character select screen is black, I can hear the game music, but see nothing.
I have checked/repatched the host.txt thinking it was connection issue.. no go.
I have tried all sorts of different installs in different locations.. no go.
To me, it could be a UI or a connection issue. My router is working fine, no blocked ports, considering I use it to share music and network files across several machines in my house. I know my router inside and out.
To finish.. I know "Crossover and Macs are not support" but since Im running plenty of PC games really well through crossover.. and I already had SOD working once, Im only looking for collective brainpower on this one.
