Hey,

I've decided to recreate my favorite character of any game ever, the dorf paladin that I played for what, 5 years, in The Game That Ate My Life. On live I was in Legion & Cestus Dei on Veeshan up until GoD or so, with a few breaks in between, and I expected... hell, I don't know what I expected, but so far I've been enjoying my SoD experience, even if some things just seem ... wrong, somehow. Different wrong. Zones connecting oddly. Mobs in the wrong place (lizards? in Crushbone?!).

Looking forward to seeing you all in game.

Welcome to SoD! Embrace those things which you find "wrong" as aspects of a new and different game that just feels like Live but with a flavor all its own.

Oh, and try not to get offended if someone tells you "This isn't Live." Usually, it's not meant to be offensive but rather is meant to remind you that things are different here. Asking in <Dalaya's Beginners> about something that feels "wrong" might just get you an explanation of how it works here!

I can see that I came off as overly negative. I actually (partly at least) meant it as a positive thing. For me, it gives the world an eerie quality, that dreamlike state of not-quite-right. I'm enjoying it.
