Ancient spells

So, i was duoing FR pit a couple of weeks ago, and 2 ancient spells dropped, and I cant use them as a ranger. So, I was wondering if hybrids could get some sort of ancient spell (or spells). I was also thinking this because bards get ancients, and they are kinda hybrids. (i know people are gonna say bards also get relics, they shouldnt be used as an example, w/e I consider them hybrids because they are good melee dps and good non melee and also great utility)

can be either one or two spells, and for ranger I was thinking a single target DS, like 30 points and 20 atk on it. Its not much, but it is great for when there is no druid or magician in the group, because rangers do DS people when there isnt a mage or a druid.

Pretty much, I was thinking that ancients for melees could be not that great, but still really cool spells. They would obviously not be as awesome as other ancient spells, but better than lvl 65 spells (but only slightly)

It's somewhat offtopic, but you can turn those ancients in for 200pp each if you didn't already know that, the same with relics for 1k.

hmm, i see your point but i think the fact that melee get stances is supposed to be the advantage that melee classes get in lieu of a spell like an ancient. well, i think that was the understanding at least, could be wrong.

I know that you can turn them in for 200pp, thats kinda not much, considering that classes get awesome spells from them. Same with relics.

I see what you mean by melees getting stances balances it, I'm suggesting spells that are cool and not nearly as good as casters/healers/bard ancients. And my reasoning behind only one ancient is that hybrids are *half* caster, so they would get only 1 ancient.

So, OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD here are some responses from other threads nearly identical to this one!

1. Melee's get stances which are *amazing*, they don't need more spells to spice them up further. Yes, any spell you would use helps you.

2. There are a limited number of spells that the devs have to work with. This is reallly not worth the use of those spells.

3. What bango said.

Yeah, have you see bst stances? I use s2 (which everyone gets), and every now and then, s 7 (when forced into a tank role). That's it. Glad I gave up useful spells for that. Oh wait, Bards get ancient/relic, and get a full spate of stances, and several very useful ones.
hmmm....

I agree that beastlord stances outside /s 7 suck but the concept of you giving up useful spells is a false argument. This entire thread is stupid.

Go ahead and trash can this, I thought it was a cool idea, and searched for it, and found nothing. So I suggested it. And then people shot it down in a heartbeat. Then beat the dead horse. So to the trash can with this thread!

My answer was more pointed at the "amazing" melee stances posted two spots above my post. If I had to choose between additional spells (which I would expect to be useful/beneficial, like other class ancients and relics) or my less than stellar stances, I think you can see which I would choose. Did I phrase it the best, maybe not, but the point still stands. Which is: that excuse blows, and is invalid.
