I didn't know where to post this, since it's a bit off the wall, but figured this had the best chance of at least being seen by someone who might be able to help, and it IS somewhat a technical...matter.
I'll be honest...I don't think I would have been a good fit for the server in the long run, which would be why I've been a very occasional player at most, but I really liked a lot of the implemented features. Things like stances which had been promised on live for years but never actually done...that impressed me considerably, as well as the fuller and far superior implementation of deities, custom spells, etc.
These days I run a half-stock, half-custom AXclassic server of my own, LAN only, and I'm very interesting in potentially bringing some of the Dalaya mechanics to it, but frankly...I'm a dummy. Not a clue where to start. I do understand some basic things, like I've had great success creating custom items, and adding in NPCs, but zero luck even implementing a simple fix for a 'Lv 255" spell.
Would any of the coders be willing to answer a few questions about how things work?
(Obviously, I understand if you can't, due to the risk of opening things up for cheating on Dalaya itself...you have only my word I'm interested purely for my own private server, and I don't expect ANYONE to say anything that would endanger Dalaya!)
