'An Iced Recluse' pop up and drop rate

I would like to request an increase in pop up rate of "an Iced Recluse" in Crystal Caverns (-200,-300,-550). It seems to pop like 1 in 10 times.

I'm also trying to get the "Insulated Mittens" that also don't drop very often.

It would be good if the Recluse popped like 1 in 3 times (like Chillfin in the zone, whatever that pop rate is) and dropped stuff like 50% of the time (still could take like 3x to get stuff).

For just these Mittens, that are not really that big of a deal, I don't think I should have to clear the area 20+ times (so far, who knows how many more).

OK, I'm done.. Cleared spider area like 40 times. 4 pops of Recluse - no mittens. What drops is lore, so cant even sell it (already have 1 for sale). WAY too much time to get stupid mittens.. FAR easier just to get like 2K plat an buy some off listsold.

This really needs to be fixed for others. I am just glad i was just soloing this. Could you imagine a group doing this for just 4 pops - and stuff that isn't really that good???
 
Well,an area with 5 nameds,solo-able by my *55* Pally,which drop gear which vendors for up to 1100p + much wanted tradeskill drops (exq silk,crystalline blood,sharkskin hides) and you are complaining ? :)
And stuff isnt really that good ? Did you note it is all no rec level gear ?
Its by far the zone with the best difficulty/reward ratio in game for lower levels.

^This^. I still farm crystal caverns and sorcs lab sometimes when i'm bored and get reminded how much cash can be made in there.
 
Regarding your OP. If theres anything you'll learn in playing this game, it's patience and persistence. Just look around the forum, there are people who have been playing this game for 5+ years and have been in and out of top tier guilds for just as long that don't have all their tomes yet. If you're frustrated about some mittens, just wait till you have to farm yclist for your runic spell scrolls...
 
One thing - I played EQ1 for several years. It was MUCH slower (like 5-10x) so you weren't in any hurry to do things (I shrouded a fairy for EXP for like a month to get a couple 100 AAs). When you are playing like that, waiting 10 clears to get 1 named pop is irritating but you could make some plat.

In SoD, things happen MUCH faster, so clearing a zone 40x is frustrating and irritating (like trying to get Gate necks - is it really necessary to get like 6 stacks of something? - thank God there aren't twice as many peeps on). I wasn't even clearing the beginning crystal spiders, just trying to get the Mittens ASAP, so was only doing the back spiders. Like I said, I just quit and bought some gloves (better ones) for couple K off of listsold - too frustrating for what they were... (on the other hand, the couple drops for Chillfin were good - he popped more often ("normally"?) and the loot dropped more often (ie not the same thing like 4x in a row) - I didn't mind that at all).

It is a non-issue for me now... I was just suggesting the 1 in 3 pop rate and 1 in 2/3 drop rate to help other players.
 
Oddly I went in the other day and he was up and had the mittens. It is a rare drop, and it will take farming time... pretty good for its level too. I have gotten it for like 5 of my characters, and it really is not as bad as other items.
