Alternative to DHK for Marvelous Gems

To avoid any conflict between raiding guilds in North DHK and gem farming groups, it would be beneficial if there were an alternative source of marvelous gems. This would allow Prison raiding guilds the ability to attain combine armor without having to compete with guilds who need the zone for more than just gems.

Some alternatives include:
Marvelous gem drops off Prison mobs, independant of the existing loot pool.
Dropping off Western Wastes mobs 62+.
Trade in of peerless gem to yield marvelous gems. (least favoreable)

I'm sure there are also other viable additions to the current marvelous gems drops.

Players can just go on dragon faction and raid Storm's Eye for Exquisite Gem drops for Ornate draconic armor. Has the same stats as Stormforged, just a different clicky effect which is void when you get combine. People dont go on Dragon faction because most of the giant loot blows for its difficulty.

Uh, there's only one place to get Exquisite Gems, too. Deal with it.

I should note that I only mean it's kind of stupid to use the "NDHK is overcrowded" argument, but I suppose we could add both gem drops in some other place.

That you were able to skip content does not mean there should be a way to avoid skipping more content. Go back and farm. Prison level guilds can get gems from basically one-grouping NDHK or SE without killing the named -- there's no cockblocking going on. And an exp group in NDHK is a benefit to those groups trying to raid, so it's actually beneficial. In short, no, I don't feel this should go in.

Tell me how it is strictly beneficial to have a guild raiding on top of an exp group.

I've only been met with replies just the contrary to your notion in all my attempts to form a DHK group. This is in addition to being unwelcome by most raids already present.

There is also the problem of when a weaker or newer guild has to throw everything they have at a raid, thus removing the xp group option. Granted, most of the time both will fit just fine in the zone, but the problem does exist to some degree.

Other than that small caveat, however, I agree: just go farm. Find a time when a raid isn't happening (which is what, 90% of the time?) and go farm. Besides, it's fun to xp there for the first 100 hours or so :)
