Alternate mouse buttons

I recently got a new mouse which has two extra buttons, I was wondering if there is anyway I could set these to hotkeys? I tried the regular way in game but it does not seem to recognize them. Any suggestions would be great thanks!

Those mouse buttons are not directly compatible with EQ (and most everything else), and you'd have to use a third party program to make them work. I don't suggest doing that.

I programmed my mouse buttons to keyboard keys and then bound my sod settings also to that key.

for example: range attack is 0. thumb trigger on mouse is 0
eqw switch windows is "something long like alt-ctrl-shift-windows-key-do-a-dance" so I have other thumb trigger to the very same.

Thanks for the advice, I just had to download some software from to manufacturer to prgram it now it works like a charm.
