Alt+anything won't switch windows?

Hey guys, I just myself into SoD today and to sum up how I felt...it's the EQ I was always looking for, so loaded up my platinum edition cds and patched and here I go into the game finally.

So anyway, ive been messing around with the screen modes trying to get everything working right and ive come to the point where I'm using eqw, i've tried downloading the compatability tool as by the sticky says but nothing works.

I've tried variations of modifying the eqw.ini folder, ive tried having the fix running and off, ive tried windowedmode true and false and have yet to figure out what configuration I will need to be able to switch out of the game, all I can do right now is ctrl/alt/delete my way out, I've been able to get it to release the cursor on a few configs but now I cannot after taking everything back to the way it initially started.

Now I'm stumped so if anyone can describe to me how I can use alt tab or ctrl alt tab to get out of the game, i'd much appreciate it.

Did you do anything apart from downloading the compatible tool? Such as removing the alt+tab block on EQGame using that tool?

I'm having the same problem here. What is the compatible tool you guys are talking about and where can I get it? And what is the alt+tab block and how can I get rid of it?
And did this work for you? thankkkkkkkkkkkkkkkks for the help :dance:

You should also read the other stickies and not ressurect old threads (which both forum rules and stickies here specify).
