All I see are reds and greens

First off, I really like Winter's Roar. It's so cool what you guys have done. My donation has already been made. :) Now for my question. I'm currently level 24 and I'm finding it very hard to level. All I see are reds (which resist all spells), light blues (which are basicly greens) and greens which give no exp. So I run around for 20 or 30 minutes looking for a dark blue, a white or a yellow.... zero.. not one. So I end up attacking a red con because there's nothing else to attack.. and I die of course. So far, it seems like the best plan is park in a safe place next to the mobs for 30 minutes or so & then go do some things around the house. When I come back I might be able to find a mob that I can actually fight. Is this normal? I've played 3 toons in EQLive up to level 65-70 and I don't remember the 20s being so hard. Of course, that was a long time ago so maybe I've just forgotten how hard it was to find a mob you can actually fight. I've tried moving to the next zone up, but I'm constantly being chased by reds as I hunt for a dark blue, white or yellow lion to kill. Any suggestion that might be helpful? I mostly kite so I need room to move around when I'm in a zone.

Re:

Well my first question would be what class are you?

Anyhow kiting around 24, a friend and I would take care of north ro orc camps around 24, which would take you to 26ish.

I had a friend help me to get to 29, so I don't know much about that. But, I did try southern badlands around paw. You have to watch out for the corrupted mobs, but killing the lion things outside paw is good exp, but risky. I also just walked around the badlands a bit but didnt really find anything fantastic.

But, just by checking one of those level connection map things, you can gather many places to look that I haven't even mentioned. Especially if you are a druid or wizzy because of ports that can get you around.

I haven't really been to luclin in live or WR, but there are a few zones that might be open like Greenlight hills or fungus grove think there might have been kiters there.

Honestly, what it boils down to is find a group in a dungeon/period or if you want to go solo all you can do is explore.

Light blues were made to give better exp than they used to. Have you actually tried killing them? If you find enough, it might not be such bad exp. Better to spend 30 minutes actually KILLING things than just sitting there, eh? It might be that there aren't enough light blues where you are fighting. Which brings me to the question -- where ARE you fighting?

A little more info... I'm 2-boxing a level 24 enc and level 24 druid in North Badlands. East and South is bad news at this level. Thanks for the info on North Ro, I'll check that out.

On killing light blues, I can tell that the xp isn't all that great when I see the small reduction in my dieing debt (approx 15% or less compared to 40% on a dark blue).

the rats in the first ruin entrance are great exp from 24 till about 30 or so, just be careful of the warlocks nuking ya.

Go to a zone with mobs for your level?

I can think of plenty, like Mielech and Shrouded Isle.

orc fort in east wastes.. great exp to 30ish. nice wide open area to kite if you need to as well.

I'm seeing lots of Dark Blue mobs in Northern Badlands now. Whoever made the change, thank you very much. :)

I recomend Pirate Island in Sea of Swords, you will find alot of Dark Blues, Whites, Yellows and Reds at 24 with plenty of room to Kite. I stayed here until level 29 (On my Druid) but im sure you could stay until 31 or 32 if you really wanted. :D
