Well, I was bored a few weeks ago so I spent some time and many many stacks of booze making alcohol tolerance.
Anyway, I finally had a chance to try and I pounded a stack of booze as we engaged Lord Za. Dragon fear left and right.
I noticed 0 difference between resists before and after booze.
Any way we can get an exact breakdown of how booze effects characters?
Do I need to drink a stack or does 2-3 have the same effect?
1 drink = 1% fear resist? Or How does it work?
If the calibur of drink alters this formula (and I believe it does), can we get a list of how much for each drink? Something similar to the haste list.
Random Brewing Rant:
Brewing is near useless. The only thing it is currently really used for is ointments.
The stat drinks are all made at low (sub 150, store bought stuff level, which is reachable in maybe an hour or two of clicking)
Pretty much every high end drink is simply alcohol. Which, doesn't seem to work very well. See above.
An example of how annoying it is to brew at the high end is below. The result is a drink that trivials over 250.
When drunk, it wears off after literally about a minute. Hard to tell, as you get no kind of 'buff' when drinking booze. Your stats just change and slowly change back.
To make the below drink, I have to complete 11 separate combines, with a total of 44 items.
I need to catch 5 different misc fish, in at least 4 different zones, and farm crystals from Velks, and Lotus petals from yet another zone.
The cost of each drink is a minimum of 32pp. (2x gold bar (10ea), + vendor value of 2x chunks of crystal (6ea), even ignoring the rest).
Yes this is 'cheap' compared to a 250 skill combined potion. That lasts an hour. This lasts about a minute.
Totally Toasted = Tarhansar's Bountiful Brew, Blissful Couple Champagne, Cask
Tarhansar's Bountiful Brew = Cask, Northern Widemouth, King's Trout, Blue Marlin, Baby Seahorse, 2xRed Wine, Fish Oils
Red Wine = Wine Yeast, Rice, Spices, Bottle
Blissful Couple Champagne = 2xChampagne, Cask, Silver Dawnfish (obnoxiously rare fish), Lotus Petal
Champagne = Crystal Wine, Gold Bar, Soda Water, Bottle
Crystal Wine = Chunk of Crystal, White Wine, Bottle
White Wine = Wine Yeast, Rice, Grapes, Bottle
