I recently was looking through the list of potions for a levi potion and noticed there isn't one is there a way we can look at adding one to the list?
 
I support this request. I always found it odd that there were EB and invis potions but no Levi potions. I think they fall into the same category of utility spells, but for some reason levi seems to be much rarer in terms of availability (clickies, potions, etc.) Is there a reason for this?
 
You could exploit instant click levitation spells on Live. Maybe that is why they were never added?
 
True, I thought of two items that have instant lev after I posted. So maybe it isn't an issue on here.
 
Another potion I've always wondered about is why no Grow potion, when there is a shrink one. Some people like being big for laughs :(

I would agree, with you that we should look at a growth potion too. I didn't notice it until I looked at the list again.
 
Grow potion = no more halfling/dwarf/gnome bodies in the pool at MoP?

I know I'd see much less of my wife's halfling there :haw:

I too support the idea of adding both lev and grow potions.
 
Looking a little more into the levi potion why couldn't we just use the same recipe as Essence of Wolf - Acidic Suspension + Birthwart + Fenugreek + Wolf Blood for the lower level potion changing out wolf blood for bat wings and same go for Amplified Essence of Wolf - Alkaloid Suspension + Birthwart + Fenugreek + Wolf Blood for the higher potion? Then to throw another idea out there of combining the two for Soe pots.
 
Where I do think grow potions would be fun, I also think they would just open a whole new wave of people growing themselves in town and 'forgetting' they were standing afk infront of a door.

Afaik getting out of the mop pool as a halfling/gnome/dwarf is only a problem at extremely low levels. I had gotten my lvl 1 gnome paladin stuck in the mop pool once but now that he is level 8 he is able to make it out. That is either for some wierd reason due to his level growth or probably moreso because of a slight increase in swimming skill or maybe even agi.
 
Illusion potions would be fantastic! *More* illusion potions? Are there some recipes existing already?
 
Although you've bumped a 3 year old thread, I think potions are cool and any potion that does anything worthwhile (even turn you into a dog) would be a cool potion.
 
Wow, a tradeskill thread by a current GM from before either she or I was on the GM Team. Nostalgia FTW.

Levitate potions are undesired by the dev team, or I'd have created them when I was working on alchemy stuff (was before fletching, and you probably didn't notice, it's was mostly small things I'd noticed that had never been reported).

Illusion potions would cheapen the Fame Point illusion rewards.
 
No coffee yet so forgive me if I seem confused.

1. Levitate potions are no different than having a caster cast levitate on you. This would be a convenient and great thing for people without levitate items, classes that can't cast levitate, people who like to make potions and people who like to drink potions. I can't see the downside unless its some "player interaction" thing, and if so why are there so many potions and items that apply interactive abilities from other classes?

2. Illusion potions wouldn't cheapen Fame Point illusion rewards any more than awesome Fast and the Furious body kits on Hondas cheapen Lamborghini and Ferrari. I offer as the proof for this argument that nobody uses Fame Point illusion rewards (except maybe race change, and even then only a few people), and that sb perma illusions already do circumvent the need for them completely, even.

Now is the part of my post where I shoehorn in the idea of race changes as a free gift for your donation of more than $x, or 6 months of platinum, or mailing a brick of rhodium to SoD HQ.
 
I'm not sure why lev potions would be undesireable...the only difference between a lev pot and logging in a mage bot to lev-ring you is that new players can get lev pots.

As far as illusion pots go, basic races shouldn't hurt anything at all. The only difference between a basic race illusion pot and logging in an enc bot............dotdotdot.......and there's already at least one illusion potion you can vendor-buy in addition to bazillions of illusion clickers that are free and easy no-drop and/or droppable

If you want to make THE MOST AMAZING POTION EVER EVER EVER....make a potion that performs the enchanter shapeshift AA....as a TS, vendor-bought, fame point/donator reward, whatever. I mean if it was me, I'd make the idol of the donator a worn shapeshift...JUST SAYIN (or minor illusion but then you'd get stuck and couldn't move and ugh)
