i havnt played eq in ages!
i just discovered SoD, and i am installing, and giving it a try. by the looks of the forums, things seem to be pretty active around here.
are there many active players?
and i noticed that some of the zones where down, will they be up?
any ways, its great to be here, and i look forward to meeting, and playing with everyone.

Depending on the time you play it ranges from ~100 on non-peak times to over 450-500+ on peak times which the majority would usually be EST afternoon to midnight. However there is a fairly strong Euro presence on this server as well. Pretty much you would get a group at anytime but prolly best to 2 box which your allowed to do. (3 or more not allowed and is bannable).

We have a very very active GM presence so even if zones go down (which they rarely do) it will be up soon and if not feel free to jump in IRC and inquire for GM assistance.

Zones actually auto reboot, unless there is a problem, and im not aware of one within the past few days. It'd be nice if I knew what you were looking at that showed zones down.
 
I'll definitely echo the "Read the Rules" and read the carefully. It's great to see just an active presence of GMs online.
 
yeah i meant the server status page, from the maine page.
but i have been playing yesterday and today, and havnt seen any problems. this is great, and i am glad i found it.
oh and i have read the rules a couple times over now...
