aegolism and pets

Is it supposed to add to the HP of the pets? When my pet has it, my 1100HP heal heals the same % as when he does not have it.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about the original question, but I wanted to add, if my pet has less then full HP when it's cast, it will give the regular message that it was cast, and heal him. It does not seem to affect his HP, otherwise.

Before my pet has aegolism my heal does about 35% during the day

After my pt has it my heal does the same.

Is this intended? Is aegolism not supposed to add to the overall HP of pets? Do they get any benefit from it, such as AC?

Hopefully that is more clear.

How would I do that? Have someone else check the % health of my pet and make sure it is same as I see? Or something else?

HP buffs have zero affect on pets. The AC portion MIGHT, that is harder to test.

Haste works.

Stats buff have very little to no effect in a measurable sense.

Haste Works.

If you want stronger pets, use the focus. If you want meatier pets, use the focus. If you want more DPS, use haste.

So sayeth the Zodium in Q4 2005.

Robb's pet with raid buffs vs Robb's pet without raid buffs is a huge difference when soloing. If you don't notice it, then you just aren't paying attention.

Same for mage pet. Tanks almost twice better when buffed. I think ac works, while hitpoints don't affect the pet.

Well maybe thats why I haven't noticed it. I never have really gotten the chance to solo with my pet raid buffed. I just wonder why it is that pets aren't effected by the HP portion of Aego.

Is Robb referring to the AC portion of some High AC spells affecting Robb's pet, or stat buffs like STR/DEX/AGI/STA?

I am willing to conceed that ATK, AC, Regen, and Haste buffs work. HP and stat buffs, I am fairly certain, have no effect.

Actually, given all raid buffs, I imagine the DS would be the most important. Also, stats do have an effect, just like they do on mobs--it just isn't as noticable as you think it would be.

I'm also willing to conceed I haven't done individual tests. The pet buffs include: DS, all stats, aego, regen, and focus. The DS is obviously very critical but it's also easier to ignore. Non-tanking DPS is up with buffs, and tanking ability in general is up (ignoring the DS). But yea, I definitely haven't tested with ONLY stats, so mog may very well be right

Okay.. 57 shammy with no pet focus. Noticable difference when pet has str, dex, and HoS (as well as haste(s)). Also I use ethereal weapons from kaladim as pet food. W/O dex buff noticable difference in rate of proc (2 minute fight w/o dex proc 1-3.. with dex 2-5). STR buff just seems to up the lower end damage (max damage 37.. typical hits 30ish with low in 22-27.. with str low tends to be 27-30). STA/HP buff from HoS I am unsure if works.. but STA stat buff does (about a 5% difference). AGI stat buff.. really hard to tell if it works or not (same with AC part of HoS). Regen, very noticable. Strangely spirit of bilhi seems to have an effect as well (you would think a spirit wolf moves at SoW speeds.. grrr).

Yes, stat buffs have an effect. Just not drastic effects. Focus items for pets probably do work better.

Actually, you are seeing the effects of the HoS line's ATK buff, the same with Bih'li... it also has an ATK buff.

Wolf Spirits do not have inate Spirit of the Wolf. Your pet is not truely a spirt of a wolf, it is a spirit of yourself, projected in a wolf form.

DEX has absolutely no effect on procs in SoD.

No STA in HoS, no STR on HoS, no AC on HoS... the HoS line (usually refered to on these forums as Focus) is a very different buff from live. Not that HoS has AC there either. I can promise you the HP buff portion of the spell does not work. ATK portion DOES.

Check that STA buff again on a pet with nothing BUT the STA buff. Either you are mistaken, I am mistaken, or there is another effect at work. 60 points of STA does not seem to add 100 hp to my Inner Spirit, which seems to have about 2000 hp natural. However, even if it does,it would not make any difference in the fight or make it worth casting. To argue otherwise is to argue that Inner Fire is still a useful tank buff at 65.
