Adept drop tank shield

Will love to see an early adept shield drop aimed to be used by tanks. adepts were made to train/teach low lvl players about raiding in SoD, to prepare them so to speak for the lvl 60+ raiding. While raiding in SoD I noticed how valuable is a shield for raids, often times the Warriors will replace their secondary weapon to gain the benefits of wearing a shield, however this is something that is missing in adept loot. I been giving this some thoughts and after studying the adepts for a bit I suggest replacing Brancu Earthrumbler'sw Giant Zweihander for a shield aimed for tanking.
Reason I chose this Brancu is:

1) It is an early lvl adept
2) It is a tank adept with no tank loot
3) Has possible the worse loot drops out of all adepts
4) There are TONS of 2hander weapons that drop from all other adepts so his is not necessary(however if it is replaced or the shield just gets added to his loot table don't think anyone will miss or care about the 2hander, I may be wrong)

Here is an Idea of a shield aimed for what I'm suggesting:

Fort of the Giants (or Brancu's Toe Nail..or whatever name)

I marked in parentheses the final result after lvling it up, It starts weaker than what a twinked tanks will use such as Mithril Shield but if taken the time to work out could give un-twinked players a very nice reward(untill they replace it with the 45 or 55 rec buy-able stuff), it is simple, to the point and gives reason to wear a shield while tanking adepts at higher levels even taking off secondary weapon(as it is often done in 60+ raids).
 
This would be great , would make that adept worth killing . I would also recommend giving the shield a proc, I was thinking of something like a Reverse Damage shield. Something like the Spell: Heretic's Fork ( level 30 Shaman Spell) that level up to 10 Reverse Damage shield at level 40 or so. Would also be great to see the shield level to around 50 ac :) Yah, that adept needs an upgrade and a shield would be a great start :)

that is after lvling for 12 lvls, it starts only at 14/25, it is to serve a purpose since there is a huge gap in shields a tank can wear(even from maps), specially one that is going to be doing adepts until he gets stuff rec lvl of 55, that I just gave an example, the Devs can do however they feel it fits the game, the purpose is giving low lvl tanks a shield they can use and grow with and also something for Brancu that is useful. they can put it on rab the rat for all I know, but even Rabb has much useful loot.
 
End stats seem too high but I would support a nice tank shield dropping from adepts if it dropped off Tidefang
 
dosen't really have to have a bash proc, but I will be satisfied if it is simple down to the point and useful all the way through adept progression so that Warriors will have a to consider about switching their secondary and while paladins get Starfall shield SKs and Wars don't get any, I think it will be much appreciate it if it drops earlier than Tidefang because not many adepts after that. I trust that Dev can come out with a better idea than mine and something that will work that everyone will be happy. How does AC between 37-45 at max lvl and HP between 60-75? I'm afraid if it is made too weak people are going to be lazy and just get deep metal or any other shield rather than putting their time and lvling it, thus will be easily replaced as is mithril shield has no lvl rec and you can bump it up really bad with 2 augments... Deepmetal is a well balanced shield for all classes that can wear but it is not a purposely made for just tanking and that is what I think should be aimed for and what I'm asking for, for the non-twinked tank that will put the time to raid this mob and will put the time to lvl up the shield and expect greater reward than what can be provided by farming 2kpp. maybe make it his rare drop, just like all adepts have one rare drop that is really good for its lvl, and I know tons of monks that have spent several months trying to get that headband from traekoth...or flitterwing's dust pouch...or digested hexdoll... reward for effort, nothing more.

Why does it have to drop off Brancu and then last throughout progression? What other adept item does this? Maybe that caster hood off Spectral Hunter, but every other loot off 1-36 adepts can be replaced by something better. For that matter, why are the stats on Cowl of the Darkest Night so good? Ditto Robe of Whirling Wind, and that's coming from someone who has both of these items.

Bottom line, yes a shield would be very cool, especially with a bash proc, but there is no reason why it should last 20-65.

Make the AC 2/3rd or something of the full amount because a shield isn't as effective when the shield is worn on the back.

I am pretty sure he means a shield you can slot as secondary AND in the back slot so if you made it 2/3 the AC value of a competitive shield who would ever use it as such?
 
ability to combine all shields + straps in a forge for diminished stats and/or totally different stats for what would almost be a totally different item?
 
not a back slot, just secondary so for the only purpose of training tanks for raids in the future. My request is for that purpose in mind because there is no shield that comes from adepts for tanks and at high end tiers a shield is a valuable item for their classes, to the point that even warriors take off their secondary weapon for it. there is no shields in Tmaps or adepts that provide for this, there are a gazillion of 2hander weapons which I doubt any tank uses for raid purpose, I'm not just asking for any item I'm being very specific and intentional with this post, there are tons of back items, but they don't offer the key elements that a shield brings when tanking a mob.

phroggonalog read my first post there I posted 3 reasons why I suggested this adept. But I dont care on whom It is all I'm saying is that it will be preferable at start of the game that way warriors and other tanks can use it early on and grow with it thus making it very useful untill it is replaced at lvl 60+.

I mean if a shield is equipped on a back slot. Otherwise it gets full stats.
 
This sounds hacky and poses complications on a item by item basis. Hey, what's that shield with like 50 sv all? I'm totally wearing that.
