Acceptance box for mass group ports.

Last night I was in Athica when next thing I know I'm reading "Frosthorn" on the screen and ended up in Frosthorn (not where I wanted to be). Anyway to have a box pop up asking if you want to accept? I know live had it so you couldn't be randomly ported. :)

That happened to me twice in the very recent past, I get the feeling, though, that an acceptance box on an AE port would be hard to work. But if its not this would be a great idea.

This has been discussed in the past several times. Guilds that are mass porting out just had to settle with looking for a less occupied spot in whatever zones they port from to do it. And of course other ppl dont have to (intentionally) sit/afk close to those spots for the purpose of complaining about it afterwards.

Well, there's a certain spot close to the zone in Athica that we discovered will port everyone at the bank. Steel was using it for their port spot and we adopted it (from zone in, to the left, you can jump on the ledge and go to the back). kekeke we learned the hard way it ports people at the bank.

Im pretty sure something like this would require a change in the client which isnt possible.

Well... there are a few mass points used by guilds... and most of them take into consideration other players/zoning people... But yes, something like this would be desirable... I mean... we all make shouts and all that... but what if whoever-is-porting-from-Athica entrance zones when someone is zoning in? Heck, even then, I massed yesterday mallas by error cause he logged just after I clicked port.

While an acceptance box may require reworking the client, I think it would be a good idea making masses work only on certain (not mayor ciies) zones. This would reduce the number of unwilling ports to a minimum (there's always the chance on someone running accidentally too close).

And before you flame me about neck ports, and all that.. take into consideration this... Athica may be a mayor city, but Gfay is just a zone away. Newport has quenyos hill, Grobb has whatever his newbie it's called... So... sure, you have to zone once before getting to mass point... unless you directly bind yourself on mass spot (they're newbie zones, after all), and this would prevent all those people getting ported.

Didn't live have TL acceptace boxes? If I'm remembering correctly and it does, shouldn't need to change the client for this.

Live has lots of things.

This is one of those things where if it were possible it would have been done a long time ago.
