About to hit 40

Going with the theme of my 30 post, what are some "can't miss" dungeons of the 40s?

Right now I am still in eastern badlands until I hit 40 then heading to the Heartland Plateau, but there are a lot of zones that open up in this range - what should I make sure to hit?
 
"Best" XP will likely be heartlands until 51 or so unless things have been changed.

Check out Yaralith (Pyramid Area I believe is right around your level, Sewers should be close also iirc.)

Check out Mielech B - it will be a very fun very challenging "Dungeon Crawl" to fight down to the named spawns. I went here around 45 with a group of other 45s and had an absolute blast. Make sure nobody is farming it for cash first (/w all mielechb) before you go. One mid tier 65 can farm most named spawns in the zone and will ruin your fun.

Red Sun Mines should be good around 45 also, though it might still be a little tough for you. Give it a shot if you're feeling brave.

Lasanth with a full group will also be great xp for you, the mobs hit fast but not that hard, so bring a damage shield. Lasanth is great xp til 55.
 
Does it impact main quest at all if I begin working up the faction quests? I went through the initial spiel of the dryads and got my port spell, then joined the Silver Hand faction. Should I focus on mainquest now before doing their questlines?
 
Main Quest leads you to them, but if you are able to get started before the MQ sends you in then there should be no problems.
 
Cool, I only have gem of learning on these two, so maybe I will go back and get all that sweet quest xp now that niali has a pretty nice selection of port spells.

Actually, I guess I should just tough it out to 44, as that is where I get the rest of the non-planar port spells anyway.

You should do fine there with your duo. I didn't bother to start my MQ until 65 with some aa done cause lazy. Do it as you want, but the earlier the more the quest xp helps.
