A Solution to the patcher problem !!!!

After many hours of reinstalling it....if found a way to get it to run....

just delete the dam file its getting "stuck" on....

then re-run patcher....it worked

p.s. this was done on my laptop even, so i know some of you have more problems on them....

i hope wiz doesn't ban me for this info....i have another solution, but wiz would definately ban me for that one.... :lol:

I couldn't think of any way to get banned from messing w/ clientside files? /shrug.

Maybe PM a GM and ask them if its appropriate to post that. If you have the fix for something that needs fixed I doubt if its quick and to the point that they would get angry at you.

If the GM says yes or posts it for you you will get Kudos ..

did not work for me. neither deleting the file it's getting stuck on nor deleting the files.txt nor disabling anti-virus and firewall software, got the patcher to work for me. i hope there will be a solution for the patcher problems soon. the patcher always used to work fine. that crap just started some time ago. until then i have to use the patch files from the sod site. of course i'm willing to help if tests need to be run, maybe i can help finding the source of the problem.
