A request by a WR newb trying to log in

Hello folks.

I made an account two days ago (2/21, to be exact) and I believe I did everything correctly, however when I try to log in to the login server I'm given the error: EQEMu Error: Bad username/password. My eqhost.txt file reads as follows:

[Registration Servers]
{
"wintersroar.com:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"wintersroar.com:5997"
}

and is read only. I also tried it with "67.15.24.48" in place of "wintersroar.com" with the same effect.

I did a tracert to wintersroar.com and it completed, thus no DNS error.

I've mentioned this in a few other threads and now in IRC but I haven't really been given any concrete answers/made any progress, so I have a request:

Could someone perhaps create a new account and try to log in? If it works then clearly I've done something wrong, if not then the problem isn't my own. If someone could step up and help me out that'd be great. :sadf:
 
read the forums a little, ive posted about this same problem numerous times, my friends and i have made multiple accounts to try and log on and only my older account is able to. as far as i can tell making any new accounts right now wont work, somethings broken somewhere. i cant seem to get the attention of anyone to fix it though....
 
I have read around and I've read your posts. I'm just trying to get more people to verify that it's broken to perhaps raise awareness on the issue. A mod perhaps?
 
How were you able to create a new account before the account creation process was complete? It really confuses me. Read the start guide it was updated with a working start guide.
