a rare fungus

Just wondering if anyone has seen the "a rare fungus" in the deepshade as of late. Spent a ton of time there yesterday and today with a ranger both times and have not seen this. Also per a note by ThinkMeats he mentioned that

"Basically, you head southwest from the ZI, and he's relatively close to the entrance--definitely on the close side of the chasm--coming from Echo Caverns. You'll be looking for an offshoot dead-ended hall. There's an uphill slope, a curve, and another one after that. The mob is 'a rare fungus' and it's in a cluster of three at the end of the hall."

I looked at the end of every tunnel I could muster on the zone side of the pit up to the pit and didn't see anything like this. If it is on the other side, that is fine, just not sure and was hoping for a bit of insight if someone could shed a little.

Any help is much appreciated.

Been there a lot as well, no rare fungus as well. Go what we all did - kill mobs in there till you get what you need. It has a rare chance to drop from trash.
