I think the first box in the comic explains it all -- except what's even worse is that DM is red. Full DM + Warlord's BP makes a good combo, but the colors...agh!

I've posted about armor color change before -- and while there wasn't enough support warranting full-scale changes, I don't think ANYONE likes the green/purple combo of Warlord + DM. I'm requesting that, for just this armor combo (and no, I don't have a tank, let alone this armor) the color scheme be changed -- my eyes are bleeding
 
None of the equipment matches in this game if it's not form the same set. If this person wants to match they should get a DM BP.

Allowing players to change armor colors would help them to roleplay their character and would be a good thing.

On live, I liked to roleplay my armor to be white on pallys and black on shadownights. On my Bard, i liked white plate Helm, Breast Plate and Boots, with black chain under it.

I took it that it would be hard to add though.

(I always hated the look of lament and singling steel armor.)

Dye was a dumb idea on Live and it would be dumb here.

Edit: Armor doesn't necessarily match in SoD, you use it because it makes your character better. Felyn looked (looks) like a rainbow, but it didn't stop me from using my crazy good gear.

I understand (Wesell) that most armor is only going to match if it's from the same set, and I know (Felyn) that you're proud of being a rainbow. Horrible color combos don't stop me from using better gear ever, BUT when I see Warlord's/DM on others all the time, I cringe. It is a COMMON combination, and horrid to look at; not only horrid, but the absolute worst color combo on the server.
 
*shrugs* Then it gets them used to the idea of being a patchwork quilt which they will be for the rest of their careers. Sure it's ugly, but so are a lot of things. Like my blood red chainmail tunic and bright blue plate arms. Or the ever popular hot pink leather pants from tmaps.
 
I liked the Dyes on like *shrug*

If I recall correctly Wiz (or maybe TM?)said no dyes here because they didn't want everyone running around in black platemail like on live.

It wasn't the black platemail that bother me.. it was the BRIGHT BRIGHT Yellows/Orange/Pink that litteraly burned your eyes to look at.


That said, the Rainbow look always reminds me of the old days of Live :)
