Anyhow, back on topic:
I am aware of the purpose of having a non-searchable buying/selling system. However, I don't feel the system needs to be *quite* as clunky as it is as of right now. I think we can still protect our fragile economy while also making the listsold system a little more convenient.
My suggestion? Split the database into categories. There doesn't have to be many. Actually, it would be a great help if there were only two, which I'll name /cm listsoldX and /cm listsoldY, since I don't feel creative enough to name them. /cm listsoldX would be for equippable gear & augs alone. /cm listsoldY would be for stacks of tradeskill items, consumables (potions/arrows), random quest items, etc. Basically stuff you wear/Stuff you don't wear.
In the concept in my brain, players would set which listsold the item they want to go into, for example, something like /cm listpriceX 20 to put it in listsold X for 20p. Then players would either /cm listsoldX next or /cm listsoldY next to browse. I have no CLUE if this is actually possible in some way, but it seemed like a neat idea in my brain.
Of course, under my model players could always put the wrong thing in the wrong listsold, but it would behoove them not to because 1. Theyre more likely to sell things that are properly categorized and 2. It would piss people off.
I'd appreciate any feedback.
Oh, one other thing, there seems to be, with an increasing frequency, a lot of empty listsolds. What I mean by that is when you /cm listsold next and it says "Items being sold by Praxes: Praxes is not selling anything." Given the pause in listsold this can get very irritating especially when you get about 4 of them in a row. All I want is to know either if someone is looking into it to fix it, OR why it happens (so that it wont be as annoying).
Thanks.
