A few problems

Over that past week or two (about the length of time I've been back playing after a very long absence), I have been experiencing some pretty consistent and nasty lag along with frequent crashes when zoning. I was wondering if this is just the nature of the beast right now, or if perhaps it is local to my connection. So far I have had the problem when zoning between Blackburrow/Centaur Hills and Surefall/Centaur Hills both directions in each case.

Also, I am rarely able to start the game on the first try. It almost always get a Windows GPF-type error and have to re-try and have it work on the second attempt. I have tried repatching to no avail.

Lastly, when engaging in combat while in first person view, my character's arms and weapons graphics appear to be completely corrupt. My initial assumption is that it is an issue with the 8800 GPU drivers. Anyone else seeing this?

Intel Core2 Duo E6300
Asus P5B Deluxe
2GB OCZ Titanium PC6400
eVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB
Dual Gigabit ethernet ports
Cable broadband
Windows XP SP2
AV inactive

Thanks.

I cannot say I have noticed the graphical issues, but the zone crashes and large ping times are an almost constant. I have tried using different DNS other than my ISP's. (From a place called Open-DNS) and although the traceroute times to the login server look fine, in-game ping times are 600 - 5Kms and eventually leading to a complete disconnect. The zone drops are few and only a little annoying since I can get right back into the game thanks to the allowance of multi-logins. Firewall log on router isn't seeing any ICMP floods and since I really dont know any other IP other than the login server, if the one for the game/zone server is different, I have no idea where the bottleneck is.
