50+ gearing up

This post is to discuss Higher level gearing up. Once you hit 50+ you sort of have 2 options for getting gear.
First- Tmaping is a very effective way to get upgrades and a fiar amount of EXP. Pending the strength of your group these are usualy easy loot. 50% of the time the items rot but there is still loot to be earned. This seems to be the more casual play style rout, in wich you can log on for 2 hours do a Tmap or 2 then then log for the night.

Second- Giant/Dragon faction gear seems to be more of the pre raid gear farming. 50+ you are able to start killing and colecting quest parts for faction turn ins to get to amiable (I think is the faction needed) for doing the armor hand ins. After picking your faction head to DN start farming the Quest gems from 50-55 ish in DN or other frozen zones. then 55+ grouping the Undead dragons in DN wich yield a fair turn out of spells Gems and Quest armors. This method of getting gear seems to be more pre raid then Tmaps due to that there is a 2nd Tier to it.

Entry level Tmap gear from SImples VE's E's is slightly better then the First Tier of Faction loots. However the 2nd tier of loots is a little bit better then most Tmap items. Most oftenly Farming Dragons/Giants can usualy Yield more 60+ spells as well as even some ancients. If you plan on raiding you are better off going Giant/Dragon faction as aposed to Tmaps . The one down side is that Giant/dragon armor some pieces are to "Broad" since they are not Class specific.

Thats my 2c hope it helps some of you feel free to add more input for myself and others.

Tmaps and Tradeskilled armor will better gear you BY FAR then the first and second tier of Faction armors. Legs and bp's are an exception, if you can obtain the 2nd tier faction armor, those are must haves for everyone.

All the other faction armor can be skipped on quite easily, only warranting a second glance if you can obtain the third tier...ala Prison.

That said...im not so sure why this was posted here /shrug

Pretty confusing. There is of course that whole tier of stuff you buy as well. That will gear you better than either, with less effort in some slots.

I would like to chime in and say that draconic / stormforged armor could definitely use a boost to be useful for its intended level of the player base and the amount of effort (holy grind batman) required for the faction / items.

I posted it just to get the idea out there. For people looking for ideas or if any one wanted to correct me on the sugestions I give.

oh and I"m also bored at work.....
