3 person adventuring

Hi all, Just looking for opinions here. Myself and two of my friends are starting new toons from scratch to adventure together. One is going to be a cleric, the other a paladin, and I'm stuck trying to figure out what would complement those two classes. Obviously, I'm leaning toward DPS/Utility classes, Ranger is on the top of my list atm, any other suggestions? Thanks!

Beastlord, that way you can get hastes and slows, and the pet acts like a fourth member. Or perhaps a monk later for pulling and such. Or a wizard to port with. Or, you could all two-box, and have a full group by yourselves, lol.

if your 2 friends box with you... full group = bigger xps.

Cleric/monk
Paladin/druid
Rogue/wizard

perfect little 6man... You got ports covered, heals covered, and good dps. Just missing some good buffs/slow...

Rogues are pretty helpful opening chests/doors.
Shaman are great for slows and stat buffs.
Wizards are really good taxi's and dps...

Maybe take druid out for shammy... who knows, but I would suggest each of you guys boxing, 6man groups really do get bigger xp bonuses.

The cleric and the pally have significant overlap with their spells. Consider another type of healer or another type of tank. If its what you guys really wanna play then it will be fine, its just not ideal.

These are the best 3.

Shadowknight, rogue, cleric.
Warrior, necro, and cleric.
Paladin, necro, and cleric.

Anything you can't do with those trios you'll pretty much need a full, balanced group to kill.

Not really.

That's an awful group. Wizards are generally dead weight unless they're in the upper tiers. Cleric and druid in the same group is beyond redundant. Fuck ports, you don't need them.

He seemed to be stuck on one guy playing a paladin and another playing a cleric...

Rogue with wizard box is very doable with backstabbing and dropping the nukes down. Druid paladin same boxer is good cuz the paladin holding aggro while the druid does the ds and group heals, cleric monk box is good with monk pulling and cleric knowing himself when to heal himself and just auto attack on monk while he focuses on healing with the cleric.

Necro would be the ideal third for DPS, possibility of splitting, and CC'ing later on. I would also use a druid over the cleric for DS, sow, ports, and comparable healing power.

I've played into the 60's twice now with the same static 3 man group (all dual boxing). I played a paladin/druid combo the first time and am playing a warrior this time around. The warrior beats the paladin hands down so unless you just love paladins consider playing a warrior. You will want a druid in group no matter what you choose to do, they just offer so much and save you tons of time.

shadow knight, beastlord, druid. you have a puller, tank, mini off tank with bst pet, dps, slows, ds, heals, ports, and most importantly sow =).

Thanks guys for all the suggestions, I think I'm gonna go with a Beastlord this time simply due to their versatility, you've all been a big help !
