2 New players

My buddy and I are about to start on WR after a while of being absent from EQ. I was wondering if anyone had any race/class suggestions for a 2 person team.

You can make a lot of things work if you want to try. Monk/Shaman is every popular. I'm currently doing Cleric/Beastlord and having a good bit of fun, so it's up to the person.

Running a Beastlord/Shaman myself and working out nice..

On live I was Beastlord/Enchanter/Cleric in a 3 box most of the time.

almost anything you can pair together and do rather well as a duo. even the unusual stuff, wizard/wizard, cleric/cleric, bard/rogue'll work if you do well.

you both could 2box, and do the classis warrior / chanter / cleric / rogue....

Depends if you see two-boxing as a fun challenge or a boring requirement personally I'd do it, could get a nice group.

My roommate and I couple up our characters as well. We have the following duos:

rogue - druid
bard - rogue
necromancer - enchanter
paladin - shadowknight
ranger - magician
warrior - cleric
monk - shaman
shaman - beastlord

All of these work perfectly, so I'd say just both create a character you want to play and you'll find a way to make them efficient together.

I'm doing that now actually, and it works decent. I would like to try Sham / Monk now that someone mentioned it. Hehe.
