Absolute highest buyable AC items for a tank?

I was dreaming up a new fantasy alt lately just for fun when a question hit me: Slot by slot, which [BIND ON EQUIP] items have the absolute highest Armor Class for a tank? Granted, it would break almost anyone's bank to make such a toon, and this is only an idealized "what if" scenario, not one that I plan on pursuing myself. If nothing else, maybe future twinkers would like to see such a list just to know what their options are for AC.

Ignore [PRISTINE] bonuses. In the case of a tie, either list both or give preference to the one with better stats if the difference is huge. Here is what I've come up with thus far, though I've likely overlooked some things here and there:

----------

Ears:
  • Iksar Scale Earring -- AC: 20
  • Platinum Jacinth Earring -- AC: 10 (has double aug slots)

Neck:
  • Chain of Signaling -- AC: 24

Head:
  • Granite Helm -- AC: 42

Face:
  • Watch Captain's Gaze -- AC: 24

Chest:
  • Knight's Shelter -- AC: 65

Back:
  • Enforcer's Guard -- AC: 50

Arms:
  • Smooth Granite Armlet -- AC: 44

Shoulders:
  • Deepmetal Platemail Pauldrons -- AC: 18 (has double aug slots)

Wrists:
  • Goblin-golem Band -- AC: 35
  • Leathery Gruplok Skin -- AC: 25

Waist:
  • Girdle of Enriched Stone -- AC: 37

Hands:
  • Colossus Grips -- AC: 29

Fingers:
  • Magnetic Mass -- AC: 20 (has double aug slots)
  • Platinum Jacinth Ring -- AC: 10 (has double aug slots)

Legs:
  • Pillars of Repercussion -- AC: 38

Feet:
  • Granite Boots -- AC: 36

Primary:
  • Bonecarving Blade -- AC: 35

Secondary:
  • Adamant Kirt`sek Carapace -- AC: 65

Range:
  • Heart of Stone -- AC: 75

Lieutenant's Seal is a 14ac ring with other sweet stats, from Cita.

Aha, hadn't thought of this one. It would definitely bump the Iron Funnybone off the list if only the Lieutenant's Seal weren't one of those oddball items with no aug slot, which means it is stuck at 14 AC vs. the augged 17 AC of the Funnybone. Still, I'm convinced there's a higher AC ring out there somewhere...

Grinkles, this was my expression while reading this:

 Thanks, Vitali. I guess. But gadzooks, dat image resolution! :psyduck: (Turns out the BBCode here doesn't allow for image resizing like on some forums, and with HTML code also off, it looks like things just aren't resizable here!)

This reminds me so much of my ancient personal quest to get a Tarlisha BP on a level 1 alt, and to cap that alt's damage reduction for various hilarious purposes.

I've had two of those...but only one also had a Melwin's Idol and a puppy from RSM, worn acumen, 33% haste, oh my e-peen

Pillars of Repercussion are better than the Emblazoning Steel Greaves for pure AC.
And a Platinum Jacinth Ring has double aug slots so I think it would end up with more AC than the funnybone

You're right on both counts. Thanks for that input! Not sure why I thought of the Platinum Jacinth Earring but didn't take into account the Platinum Jacinth Ring. :hmpf:

Watch Captain's Gaze (face) has 24AC before the aug.

Now there's a tank mask. Thanks for pointing it out.

Shoulders

Mantle of the Forest ( double aug slots )

By my count, Mantle of the Forest goes from 16 AC to 26 AC when double augged. The Deepmetal Platemail Pauldrons, on the other hand, goes from 18 AC to 28 AC when double augged. Seems this is the one piece of blacksmithed armor that even Ikisith loot hasn't quite matched for whatever reason -- as far as Armor Class goes, that is.
