I made this thread almost one year ago that was placed in the "Retirement Home" for some reason. In this thread I brought to light spells that still have refresh times after a patch to reduce recovery time after a raid wipe.

I feel that this patch was very successful. I just think there was some spells left behind that should still be changed to not have a refresh time.

The list of spells that should have their refresh time lowered to ZERO are here:

Spell: Call of the Predator : Recharge time: 18 seconds
Spell: Spirit of Bih`Li : Recharge time: 9 seconds
Spell: Relic: Ward of Nature : Recharge time: 8 seconds
Spell: Dead Men Floating : Recharge time: 6 seconds
Spell: Share Form of the Great Wolf : Recharge time: 12 seconds
Spell: Talisman of the Niklothar : Recharge time: 5 seconds

Please feel free to tell me about more buffs that are used in raids that have a refresh time != to 0 so I could add them to the list.

There is no point in having a super fast recovery and then leave Mage at more than twice as long as the next slowest class.

The following spells need to have their casting time and mana cost reduced substantially please

Servant of the Elements
Summon Spectral Silks
Burnout Blaze
Til's Intervening Enchantment
Summon Blade of Power
Summon Bauble of Battle
Tiny Companion
Cupola of Incineration
Til's Elemental Ward
 
There is no point in having a super fast recovery and then leave Mage at more than twice as long as the next slowest class.

Agreed. Please speed up mage wipe recovery.
 
It's not just the mana cost of all of the things you need to cast but also the fact that it resets the meditate timer, which you can't do anything about anyway.
 
It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for impatient DPS asking for cotp 8 times in the 18 seconds it takes to refresh the spell gem

I do very much agree with your post, however I think that raid buffs being changed first should be the priority. After which we could try and ask for mage summons to be changed.

Clearly have a Refresh time for a reason.

And
Spell: Relic: Cupola of Incineration
Spell: Relic: Til's Elemental Ward

already have a Recharge time: Instant

Basically
Summon Bauble of Battle

Silly duck, why would you assume he was talking about refresh timers in a thread about refresh timers?

Thanks to this thread the few seconds of looking at a blacked out DMF while people keep asking for it has gone from mildly annoying to soul crushing. It is so bad I also feel basic human empathy for rangers. Rangers!
 
Just chiming in to say that long wipe recovery time is pretty much the main reason I got bored with raiding and quit. Anything to reduce that and speed up the raid game would be welcome.

Make me a dev or something so I can take the 5 mins out of my life to fix this if you like.
 
Make swift like the wind not overwrite emp too. That's really silly and annoying, but I never was able to get any traction on it...
 
Lifeward is way too long of a cast also , by time My cleric clicks lifeward , a pally has ressed already 3 or more ppl. Please look into reducing the cast time on it.
