2 requests for this spell:

1) Make the model global somehow. It was very exciting to see the model used the first time I cast it in the Murk. Then very disheartening to have not yet found another zone that has this model. Human pets make druids cry.

2) Remove the DOT effect from this pet's proc. If the druid gets hit on a pull, the pet jumps in, pet procs on mob, enchanter mezes mob, DOT breaks mez, mob eats enchanter. Alternatively (no pun intended) give druids access to the Pet Discipline AA, maybe through a Tome on the pet Tome vendor (since anyone with the Spell will have access to that vendor) with a similar AAs requirement to other classes?

there is 1 other zone that i've seen the frog in, but i forgot what it was.

And on the topic of global models, Iksar BST pet is a human in murk.

Human pets are no fun. Even if it was made undead froglok that would be cool since that is already a global model.

man i fixed this and then somehow all my owrk got overwritten and i am searching for the werewithal to do it again

I'm fine with the pet dotting, but yeah, we need some form of pet control, since we finally have a pet worth keeping around. Having a pet discipline tome would be fantastic and wouldn't cause any balancing issues. It's just better management of something we already have.

If you were to remove the dot component it would lose a nice chunk of DPS. So i say keep the DoT ! What would be best is some sort of /pet hold, be it from tomes or whatever.

In all honesty the complaints I am hearing about the pet were in the dev teams mind as the downsides to giving druids a viable pet to add to DPS. They did go from no viable pet to viable pet remember =p

As for the model issue I think Meyers can script that fixed fairly easy.

So the downside to having a viable pet is that your enchanter dies a lot? I'm sure the enchanters are fine with that tradeoff. =P

Any rationale for not giving druids pet hold?

Pet hold is something I will think about. Not sure how easy it is to implement as a tome.

I hope it can be done.
If it doesn't work as a /cmd, can you make it a stance that uses no stamina and puts the pet on hold or something?
Not as good as real /pet hold, but I'll be happy with any improvement over me succoring to lose aggro and my pet running a dot on mob, which then summons me and if it doesn't kill me by itself, it's a 20k fall :tinfoil:
