SoD Installed and EQ Live?

A buddy is offering me the chance to play EQ Live again on one of his accounts, and I'd like to take him up on the offer.

I Renamed the directories holding SoD as SoD and it still works fine.

I tried to run the disks to install a second copy of EQ and patch it, but it still recognizes the original install and won't let me do it again....

Is there a way to have both going? If I patched EQ up to current would it kill SoD?

I'm stuck in a spot because I want to play Live again with my friend, but I've also come to love SoD...

Any ideas?

dont try and do a second install, I have not found a way to get it to ignore the initial install. I may be missing something as well on that, but here is what you can do.

Copy your current directory somewhere else and rename it.
c:\program files\the Company\<game>

Once its renamed, send a shortcut to your desktop from <thatothergame>.exe

Now you may need to edit your eqhost.txt file to point to the right place for login server and such, check that other games website for help on that.

and keep in mind, if you run eqw or any UI mods, the versions commonly used here may not be compatible with live.

Edit- forgot to mention, patch to live once you edit the .txt file and you may need to replace your maps folder. Check out mapfiend.net for that.
