NEW PATCHER

I got to the patch part. Now I get a message:

Locate ********* Executable page...and I am supposed to fill in a file name I guess??

Any help with this would be appreciated.

try changing your EQhost.txt file to:

[Login Servers]
{
"72.55.164.91:5997"
}
 
I really am computer illiterate. With that in mind, I decided to use deductive reasoning and ended up using "eqgame" file from the ****/********* folder. It seemed to work as I am now at character screen looking at my guys.

Thanks for the hard work devs! and please tell me if there is another way that I am supposed to do this.

also make sure you change the directory to your EQ folder should be like c://program files/****/*********.

then once directory is finished it will ask for EXE and pick EQgame.exe
 
what exactly is this for? people who's accounts didnt work because they were made post-March time frame?

Next after u run the patcher Follow the instruction in screenshot. (also the repatch all will change your EQHOST.TXT file for you. so ignore that post.

then make sure your EXE file is set to the right file as showin in next screenshot

To paraphrase Woldaff.

Once upon a timer an old dev made a patcher!

But the patcher had alot of problems server side.

Then the dev left forever, and we didn't have the source code!

So we had a patcher with issues, that didn't work for everybody, and no way to fix it!



This patcher has been in dev for a bit, and was a long time in coming. It makes things alot easier on our side, which is a plus, and should have added functionality for everyone else as well.
 
Damn so now I can finally uninstall the load of .net frameworks I installed on all the PC's ? awesome
