Who is supposed to be the dot'ters in the game? Druids, Necromancers or Shamans? By looking at their relic spells, it seems to be sorta reverse order (source: http://camongrel.hbnet.de/spell_test/index.php). It says:

Relic: Hand of Kaezul (Necromancer level 65 relic dot):
Cast time: 5.5 sec
Mana: 520
Duration: 13 tics
Hp per tic: 160

Which equals 2080 hp over 13 tics for 520 mana.

Relic: Doomswarm (Druid level 65 relic dot):
Cast time: 5.2 sec
Mana: 400
Duration: 9 tics
Hp per tic: 220

Which equals 1980 hp over 9 tics for 400 mana.

Relic: Scourge of Life (Shaman level 65 relic dot):
Cast time: 3.5 sec
Mana: 475
Duration: 7 tic
Hp per tic: 295 (+250 when cast)

Which equals 2065 + 250 over 7 tics for 475 mana.

From this, it seems that shamans are the best dot'ters in the game, because their dot does the most damage over the shortest duration.
The way I see this is that shamans are the best dotters, then druid and in the end necromancers.

Further more, the druid level 61 dot looks like this:
Cast time: 5.3 sec
Mana: 200
Duration: 9 tic
Hp per tic: 178

Which equals 1602 over 9 tics for 200 mana.

That means, by using RELIC dot you pay 200 mana for around 300 damage. It just all seems wrong.

Hand is a lifetap DoT.

Those DoTs are being reworked. The 61 DoT had FAR too low of a mana cost. Next patch things will be changed.

I guess, I gotta start working on those formulas :o

So it's safe to say the order of dots should be?:
Nec > Sha > Dru

That's pretty much the order.

Remember, though, that druids can throw one DoT on a mob, shamans can throw up to two DoTs and necromancers can throw up to... what, four? Five? :p

Druids have magic and firebased dot?

Oh. I didn't know about the fire-based one. The closes my ranger has to that is immolate, which is 24 damage per tick. :x
