Just curious if there has been any suggestions for future development on Mages?? We have some great abilities and all currently but beings we are a major pet class I would look foward to improvements on this idea such as the monster summoning and possibly the ability to charm or summon a wider variety of pets, such as a healer class pet or a rogue pet etc.
Guess I'm just getting jealous as I watch the enchanters dire charming animals and the wizards summoning pets that can actually attack a mob.
Just looking for new advances to the class if any are possibly being talked about.

In my opinion, since I have a mage right now, we mages are okay with what we have, the pet, the nukes, everything, so we dont need anything else really :)

Yeah, it's the rangers that really need charm.

They were doing damage on par with "pet class" pets.

One of the weapons dropped by a dragon from western wastes does.
It's a whip with a charm proc.

In eq.crgaming.com it says that at lvl 29 you get your pet! And since your wizard Matiole is 29.... well, you do the math :)

Mages don't get a pet until 59 (I think.) They get familiars though, which are technically pets in that they have a little guy following you around, but they don't attack or anything.
