I would put forward that the crew of pirates could take on the Magical Ninja and the random thrush at the same time; the pirates' parrots fending off the thrush whilst they take care of the ninja.

They arent magic persay - but they have a few magical items to aid them along - and look how tough they are. just imagine how much tougher Rikimaru would be if he could fly and go invisible!! or just plain cast crazy death bolts of doom!! thats just scary thinking about it!
