? version question ?

hello, i really would like to play on this Winters Roar server of yours, more than any other eq server, but theres that whole version problem. i upgraded to version 5.5 D1 when i first installed the eq files.... and this server runs on 5.3 D3.

you think maybe the version of the server will be upgraded soon, to 5.5 D1, so other people can get in on the fun?

or are there any other ways i don't know about that can help to get me into the server?

When 5.5 gets an official release, I'm sure Wiz will consider/move over to it. As it is now, Dev releases are somewhat buggy.

I successfully returned to 5.3 from 5.5 using a technique posted by someone on the EQ emu forums.

It basically goes like this:

You will need the old exe's and dll's from the version just before the latest patch. If you dont have them, post your email and I can send them to you in a zip file.

Some people have problem creating new characters with the .exe switch fix. To fix this just get the original UI files that came with the eqgame.exe you are getting
