Login Problem

Not sure if this is the right place but general was mod only so here.

I cant login to the server becuz its 5.5.3 ... i can login to 5.5.1 fine but 5.5.3 wont let me in no matter whos running it, Anyone know what i need to do to get into 5.5.3 so i can play WR?

Post is kinda...skecthy... if you could elaborate more it would help. Maybe you patched since the 10th or something, so you are getting the 1017 error, but I don't know. If you did patch, read this: http://www.wintersroar.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=994

Thats funky how i can get on .1 instead of .3 hehe but ill try that and see if it works ;) ok i tried it and im still getting the 1017 error when connecting to .3 servers including winterroar

the 1017 problem bugs me... i can logon just fine on my main account, but i made a new account and that account cannot log on WR. it can log on other servers, just not WR. but my main account works just great. i don't understand ><

Hi,

Im having the same problem. I can connect to all 5.5.1 but not 5.5.3 such as Winters Roar.


I have a fully patched and up-to-date EQ client using the EQ patcher.

I have no idea how im supposed to get to 5.5.3 since i have all the updates available...


P.S. My error is 1017 when trying to connect

Fully patched to Live doesn't work on 5.3, you'll ahve to wait until 5.5.1 is incorporated into WR, which will still be some time. Just be patient.

its amazingly easy to FIX, just read the forum,

just patch the game fully, and replace your new ui files with the old ones if you still have them...(i dont know where you can find them), and replace the eqgame.exe and maindll with the old ones (but i dont know where you can find those either)................... :finger:

if you do it right, it WILL work...as long as you dont ever patch again.

but the problem is i have patched fully and done the eqfix thing and yet it wont let me on, i still get 1017 error.

ok well i just made a new account and found out its my old account name, it wont let me login with it for some reason
