Why dont you just use both? i have Vingrin's Animated Wand in my mages offhand and Staff of the Elements in his primary.... easy

Currently, I'm wielding the Staff of the Elements and the Greenwoven Shield on my level 50 Magician.
Should I even look into the Vingrin's Wand quest?
I can't think of any reason to, but I thought I'd post the links and go ahead and ask anyways.

The wand is now useless for a mage, starfall is definitely better.

Vingrin's is better than the sheild IMO. But you have to weigh out the pros and cons. I would recomend that you use vingrin's in place of the sheild, that is how I did it.
