Hello everyone, glad to be here. But on the webpage the 2.3 patch link is broken..... if someone could send me it, I would very much appreciate it, thanks. Also every time I try to log in I get error 1001! Thanks in advance. ;)

I've tried this but it still gives me the 1001 error:Could not connect to Everquest server! Please try again shortly! when I try to log in. :(

Run -> cmd -> ping www.wintersroar.com 5999
If it doesn't work, Run -> cmd -> tracert www.wintersroar.com 5999

Look at the EQEmu forums too.

The link I posted was for EQW 2.3 which I assumed you meant by 2.3

Thanks so much, most other people would just flame me and tell me to go away.... I still don't understand what you mean by Run > cmd > ping www.wintersroar.com 5999 and run > cmd > tracert www.wintersroar.com 5999 but it took me to dos and I did it and nothing happened just gave me errors... anyways I will wait till you get done with 5.0 stuff. Thanks! :)

I'm too used to telnet. Just remove the 5999 stuff and it should see if you can ping and/or tracert to the server.

Since you're wondering, it IS supposed to take you to DOS :P

To see if he can reach the server at all.

Which is pretty redundant considering this forum is on the server, and he has no issues contacting this :D

Hell if I know. Originally I meant for him to ping/tracert it on that port, but apparently you can't do that, then I just explained myself wrongly.

Wait for 5.0 anyway.
