Except we know from computers and technology(evil) that when you live and think and love and feel that your brain is constantly firing neurons. We are basically electronic impulses. Death simply stops that and therefore we are gone. There is no void, we have no souls. We just stop 'functioning' its sad really, and scarey.

There is no meaning to speak of. The thing people get tripped up on and the reason why this question has been around since the dawn of man is simply because there is no comprehensible answer and so perpetual debate ensues. The Universe has 100 billion galaxies with an average of 100 billion stars each and is about 14 billion years old; we are nothing in the grand scheme of things and humanity will probably be replaced with technology or will die out in 3 billion years when the Andromeda galaxy collides with our own (which will happen before the death of our Sun). So anyway, life is what you make of it. It's short and you can choose to be happy or unhappy and are free to do anything you want; of course, if you do something illegal or socially unacceptable you can expect consequences to follow, but you're still free to do anything within your capacity.
