Now, I have followed all the instruction given on Winters Roar webpage, and I have a problem:

I can't see this server on the server list. Now, I modified the eqhost.txt a bit (changed the port from 5999 to 5997) because I got an error every time I tried to log in (1002, wrong version). After I changed that I could login but I didn't see this server on the list.

I have EverQuest Classic, no expansions.

Could you tell me please. what could be the problem?

You can't log onto 0.4 servers because you have a fully patched EQ.

So what should I do? Reinstall EQ and simply don't patch it?

You will simply have to wait until the new version of EQEmulator comes out. Version 0.5.0 is going to fix this and many people have the same problem. Just hold on and be patient. It's like 70% done at this point and it probably won't be long until it's released. You can check http://www.eqemulator.net to view the status page, how it's going and stuff.

The problem that caused this was a patch in late Aug (think it was Aug 26) and everyone who patched at or after that point are unable to play eqemulator (or at least on Winter's Roar).

Hang in there :)
