1001 or down?

Ok, quick question. I was looking through prior posts and I find all kinds of solutions to the 1001 problem. I'm having that problem now. But yesterday I didn't. So I'm not all that sure that it's a problem with some setting on my computer. Is the server down or something?

Login server down, that I know. To find out by yourself, go to www.eqemulator.net and look for an image that should appear on the bottom-right corner. If just a red cross appears, they're down. The image it tries to download is http://bender.eqemulator.net/login2.php.

Is the EQEmulator login server down because they are bringing the emulator up to the recent live patch? (Think it was the 15th of December or something)
