1017 (not your usual case :-*)

yeah.. I'm usually not one to need help with problems, especially since i've been with EQEMu/WR/etc for along time, but I can't seem to figure out why i'm getting 1017.


[list]1. ) Download completely up to date from ground base with EverQuest.exe
2. ) Download WR Patcher, patch till complete
3. ) Copy over WRFiles, and the default Ui.
4. ) Download UI Character Creation Fix, and then Help fix.[/list:u]

I put the default ui folder in first, then the character creation.


Help fix and UI Files in here, they both overwrote so i'm sure they are rightly placed:

C:\EverQuest\help[/list:u]


I checked the eqhost, but I believe it is right, I come up with three servers. Kathgars, Winters Roar, and John's? I dunno, there was another one.

Whenever I try to connect I get 1017, obviously, as I stated.


Honestly, I really have no idea, I compared with Melwin, Kathgar, and some others, they all said those were the right steps.


My only guess is that (I patched up to live yesterday), there was a new patch that broke something new.

By the way, I used the zip as well to see if that would work, same issue.

Edit: re-installed, re-patched... same thing.

I don't think this is file related.

Fixed.. was related to account being deleted along time ago.
